Hello! My name is Don Gass, and as you might have gathered by now, I'm a photographer. I take pictures of people, places, and things (but especially people.) Need pictures taken? Let me know. I'd love to see the amazing images we can create together. .

I was drawn to photography (especially digital) because of the immediacy of the result - sort of. While you can see a preview on the back of the camera, and it can be very exciting, that is just a taste of the potential it represents. The editing process allows for an amazing transformation from “snapshot'‘ to art. I enjoy the initial glimpse as well as what might be.

I’ve always been a maker. I love to have something I can point at and say, ‘Look what I did!’ I’ve dabbled in many, many, many things - jewelry, painting, and ceramics just to name a few. And even created a few things with those pursuits that I was proud of. But it was photography that really took hold and hasn’t let go.

A bit more about me so you know who you're getting: I enjoy family time, old/new movies (comedy, period pieces), board games, nature, video games, computer stuff... OK, I admit it, I'm a nerd. But I'm an artsy nerd. 

I'm based in Alamogordo, New Mexico, but will travel a reasonable distance (1 hour driving: Las Cruces, El Paso, Ruidoso) at my expense, or an unreasonable distance at your expense :)
